WHO WE ARE

Jesus FM is a new Christian community radio station recently established in Wapenamanda by the Church of the Foursquare Gospel in PNG. It received its license from the National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) in December 2021 and was officially launched in January 2022. Our current coverage includes whole of Wapenamanda, most parts of Wabag; and; small portions of Kompiam-Ambum, Kandep, Laiagam- Porgera Districts and also parts of Southern and Western Highlands provinces.

OUR GOALS

Our main purpose is to contribute to the positive transformation of communities, starting in Enga Province and eventually to the rest of Papua New Guinea, through the airwaves.

WHAT WE DO

Evangelize and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ;
Disseminate positive news and important information;
Provide education/awareness in areas such as health, education, law and order, promote SMEs and advocate for peace and reconciliation;
Encourage community participation and partnership to solve the social problems affecting the Province; and
Encourage local artists to develop their musical talents.

AIM

The main aim of Jesus FM is to broadcast the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to all the five (5) districts in Enga Province, whilst at the same time address the social issues affecting the province by working in close partnership with the churches, districts and the provincial government, business houses and Non Government Organizations in Enga Province.

PURPOSE

Evangelize and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ over the airwaves to the people of Enga Province.
Advocate for integral human development with emphasis on Christian principles.
Provide community education in areas such as health and hygiene (including awareness on ways of preventing the spread of COVID19, Malaria, Typhoid, HIV/AIDS, TB) and others.
Address law and order problems by advocating for peace and reconciliation.
Encourage community participation and partnership to solve the social problems occurring in the Province; and to
Encourage local artists to develop their musical talents.
